You can manage your booking easily online via our Express Check-In page. Just enter your Booking ID and surname to review your reservation and update key details.

You can:

  • Update contact information and driver details
  • Add extras such as moving accessories or additional drivers
  • Upload your driver’s licence
  • Sign your rental agreement digitally

Completing these steps online helps speed up the process and shortens the time needed at pick-up.

No need to reconfirm. If you’ve received your booking confirmation, you’re all set. You can make any updates via our Express Check-In page.

You can cancel your booking via the link in your confirmation email, contact us here, or by calling our Reservations Team on 1300 227 473 (AU) or 0800 445 492 (NZ).

Cancellation Policy:

  • More than 48 hours before collection – Fully refundable, no cancellation fee
  • Within 48 hours of collection – A fixed $75 cancellation fee applies

You can either prepay online or pay at the counter when collecting your vehicle. If you choose to prepay, select “Pay Now” or “Book over the Phone” during the booking process.

Even for prepaid bookings, a physical Visa, Mastercard, or Amex card must be presented at pick-up under the hirer’s name, and a bond will be processed at that time.

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Pay Now: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Google Pay, Apple Pay
  • Pay Later: Visa, Mastercard, Amex

Not Accepted:
Cash, gift cards, prepaid or contactless-only payments (e.g. tap-and-go via phone/watch).

A 1.65% card transaction fee (incl. GST) applies to all card payments. All charges are processed in AUD. Please note that currency conversion fees or exchange rate differences are not the responsibility of Alpha Car Hire.

Our standard Rental Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings. You can review them here, including information specific to commercial vehicles.

All rentals require a bond, which is pre-authorised on your card at pick-up. The bond amount depends on your selected Liability Reduction option.

For commercial vehicles, bond amounts range from $450 to $1,250.

For commercial vehicles, daily kilometre limits apply:

  • Minibus – 250 km/day
  • Moving Truck – 100 km/day
  • Moving Van – 100 km/day
  • Handy Ute – 100 km/day

Excess Kilometre Charge:
If you exceed the daily kilometre limit, an additional charge of $0.33 per kilometre will apply.

Simply enter the promo code in the ‘Promo Code’ section of the search form when entering your booking details.

When paying with a credit or debit card, a Card Transaction Fee of 1.65% will apply to any amounts paid by card. This fee covers the charges imposed by the card issuers.
